Bulent Badsha appointed on the M&G Namibian Enhanced Income Fund
We are pleased to announce that Bulent Badsha has been appointed as a Portfolio Manager for the flexible income fund capability for retail and institutional clients, alongside Portfolio Manager, Roshen Harry. This follows his appointment as a joint Portfolio Manager for the M&G Enhanced Income Fund in February 2023 and his significant contribution to the team effort of delivering on client outcomes.
With effect from 1 March 2024, Bulent is also the joint Portfolio Manager for the M&G Namibian Enhanced Income Fund.
Bulent is a valuable member of this team and we wish him every success in this widened scope of responsibility. We are confident that we have the right people, philosophy and processes in place to continue delivering on investor expectations and enhancing client investment outcomes.
Bulent Badsha: Background
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Bulent joined M&G Investments in June 2021 as a Fixed Income Analyst involved in portfolio construction, dealing and research. He previously worked for Sanlam Investments as a Hedge Fund Manager where he was responsible for starting and managing a global macro hedge fund. Before this, his buy-side experience was as a Fixed Income Strategist at Momentum Asset Management. His sell side experience included roles as a Treasury Economist and Fixed Income Analyst at Rand Merchant Bank and as a Rates Strategist and Rates Trader at ABSA Capital. Bulent started his career as a Deputy Economist at the South African Reserve Bank in June 2001. He has won multiple awards for both research and trading in the annual Financial Mail Analyst of the year Awards and the JSE Spire Awards. Bulent holds a BCom (Economics) from the University of Natal.
