M&G wins prestigious “Group of the Year” and Asian Fund Awards

We are very proud to report that M&G Investments (UK) has won the Group of the Year Award at the prestigious annual Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards. At the same time, the M&G Japan Fund won the Japan Equities Fund Award and the M&G Asian Fund was highly commended in the Asia Pacific ex. Japan Equities category.

South African investors have access to the impressive performance of the M&G Japan Fund via the M&G Global Equity Fund (in US dollars) and M&G Global Equity Feeder Fund (in rands).

The judges were impressed by M&G's breadth of successful performance, having a high number of short-listed funds across different categories, adding: "this group is experiencing a turnaround which is delivering". 

The awards were announced at a black-tie event at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on 22 June. The Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards has been a flagship event for the investment industry for over a quarter of a century. It honours fund managers and groups who have demonstrated consistently strong performance for investors and whom the judging panel believe have the potential to continue to outperform in the future.

The awards shortlists are constructed using Morningstar data, with award winners then decided by a panel of over 50 fund selectors drawn from across the investment industry, who judge categories in their specialist areas of interest. They are supported by a long-standing advisory panel of senior fund selectors.
