VIDEO: Prudential PE PLETT 2022 - Day 1

Join us for a truly unique experience, as mountain bikers from around the country battle it out at the Eastern Cape’s premier mountain bike event, the Prudential PE PLETT. With just 4 days to cover 278 kilometres of some of the most challenging and scenic trails that the Garden Route has to offer (including 4,382 meters of climbing), consistency and hard work will be key to ensure success at this amazing MTB race.

Day 1 starts off at Natures Valley before ascending into the Grootrivier Pass, giving all riders a chance to get those legs fired up. From there the route makes its way up the majestic Bloukrans Pass, where riders will battle it out for the titles of King and Queen of the Mountain. The route then follows the spectacular elephant migration trail into the indigenous forests of Witteklip before reaching the Storms River Village waterhole. Riders can then look forward to the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline as they traverse the ridgeline trails of Misty Mountain and Wittedrif and into the overnight village at Tsitsikamma Lodge, nestled under the foothills of the Tsitsikamma mountains.
